The Holberg Suite, Op 40 is a Suite of five movements that based on 18th Century Dances. 


To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ludvig Holberg, In 1884, It was written by Edvard Grieg.


It's originally composed for the piano, a year later was adapted by Grieg himself for string Orchestra.


The structure of movements are in 5 parts -1.Praeludium (G major) /2.Sarabande (G major) / 3.Gavotte (G major) / 4.Air (G minor) / 5.Rigaudon (G major).
