Harpsichord's Mechanism-1

-Harpsichord mechanism (Cembalo Mechanism)

Harpsichords vary in size and shape, but all harpsichords have the same basic mechanism.

The other end of the keyboard lifts a jack that holds a small plectrum, which plucks the string.

When the musician releases the keyboard, the jack falls back.

As the key reaches its rest position, a felt damper stops vibrations of thin metal strings.
